A Shared Commitment to the Aerospace Industry

Boeing and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) share a commitment to educating the next generation of aerospace engineers. The sponsorship, awarded for the first time in 2026 by Boeing’s Community Engagement fund, brings together Boeing’s aerospace industry expertise and UC3M’s teaching and research in aerospace engineering.

Hands-On Learning in the Flight Simulation Laboratory

Opening: early 2027

Boeing 737-800 simulator

The donation will help fund new equipment for UC3M’s flight simulation laboratory, which will be inaugurated in early 2027. This enhanced learning environment will give students the opportunity to develop practical skills, including experience operating a Boeing 737-800 simulator. New equipment will expand the laboratory’s resources and help connect classroom concepts with simulated aviation scenarios.

Two Scholarship Opportunities

2 scholarships

Master in Aerospace Science and Technology

Boeing will offer two scholarships to eligible students enrolled in UC3M’s Master’s Degree in Aerospace Science and Technology. All students who meet the eligibility requirements may apply. The scholarships aim to help students deepen their knowledge of aerospace science and technology and prepare for future career opportunities in the industry.

From Support to Student Impact

Academic learning + applied experience

The scholarships and investment in the laboratory represent two practical ways Boeing’s donation can support UC3M students: by creating opportunities to pursue graduate studies and by enhancing the environment for hands-on aerospace training. Together, they reflect the goal of this collaboration: preparing future engineers through academic learning andapplied experience.
