This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of intelligent and sustainable power generation technologies by participating in a pioneering AWE project—the first yo-yo-based airborne wind system developed in Spain.
Project Objective
The project will focus on the design and validation of a complete electrical energy conversion and management system, with the goal of reaching Technology Readiness Level 5 (TRL5). The technical work will include:

Candidate Profile
Essential Requirements
-
Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering (Electrical, Control and Automation, Industrial, Energy, or Aeronautics)
-
Solid foundation in:
-
Dynamic system control
-
Control of electric machines
-
Power electronics
-
Electrical systems (generators, inverters, storage)
-
Simulation with MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or equivalent tools
-
Additional valued qualifications
-
High level of technical English (C1 minimum; C2 preferred)

Participation in R&D projects (academic or industrial)

Experience with real-time control hardware (DSpace, NI, Arduino/Raspberry Pi)

Scientific publications, conferences or participation in outreach activities

Familiarity with electrical safety regulations
