UC3M MISE Students visit SENER Aerospace & Defense

2 Mar

A group of students from UC3M’s Master In Space Engineering (MISE) visited on 27th February the facilities of SENER Aerospace & Defense in Tres Cantos (Madrid). The visit was an initiative by several students in conversation with one of our visiting lecturers in the “Advanced Seminars” course.

The visit was organized as part of SENER’s Open Days, where they present to the students some of the main projects they are currently working on, take them through a guided visit to their testing installations, and also present their “Youth Talent Program”. The students reported that this was a very fruitful experience as they could interact first-hand with professionals leading cutting edge projects, get closer to the industry, and share their doubts and passion with experienced engineers.

The MISE and the Aerospace Engineering department at UC3M would like to thank SENER for opening its doors to our students, and special thanks to Luis F. Peñín (our visiting lecturer) for enabling this opportunity and to Charo Morcillo, Mercedes Ruiz, and Sergio Reguero (for organizing the visit and taking the time to show them the facilities). A team from SENER will be coming to our department on Monday 11th March to present their work and opportunities to all our master students. We look forward their visit to our home.
