The SENTINEL Network Hosts Event on Future Challenges in Space Debris Monitoring and Sustainability

The SENTINEL network, which brings together the leading Spanish research centers in space debris tracking and modeling, will be hosting a presentation day and a panel discussion with national experts on Friday. The panel, moderated by the UC3M associate professor and co-founder of Arribes E, Noelia Sánchez Ortiz, will focus on the future research challenges in the field of space object tracking and surveillance to maintain a sustainable and safe near-Earth space in the coming years.

In Spain, the SENTINEL Network is a thematic research network that focuses on the tracking and characterization of space debris. Its objectives include strategic analysis, enhancing cooperation among researchers and stakeholders, international outreach, promoting joint research, and raising public awareness about the need for sustainable space utilization.
