Yufe4Postdocs (Y4P) is an ambitious training programme co-funded by Horizon Europe’s Marie Sklodowska-Curie programme. It is part of the Young Universities for the Future of Europe (YUFE) Alliance, which brings together nine young research-intensive universities from across Europe. They are collaborating to contribute to a more competitive, innovative and united Europe.
In the framework of the YUFE Alliance, two calls for Postdocs (YUFE4Postdocs) have been launched (March 2023 and October 2023) co-funded by the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Horizon Europe Programme.
The call is addressed to postdoctoral research in any discipline, as long as it is a project addressing one or more urban opportunities and challenges related to YUFE’s focus areas: Sustainability, Digital Society, Citizen Well-being and European Identity.
Selected YUFE postdocs will be able to carry out a research training project in a wide range of disciplines. Both calls are aimed at promising researchers who have obtained their PhD no later than 6 years before the call deadline. We target promising postdoctoral researchers at the beginning of their career, who have obtained their (first) PhD max. 6 years before the closing date of the call: 7 May 2023. Applicants who have submitted their thesis and have been allowed to defend it before 31 August 2023 are also eligible. They can be of any nationality and their CV must meet certain internationalisation parameters.
The Postdoc Programme foresees that each researcher will be tutored by at least two professors: one from the contracting university and one from the university where he/she will carry out part of his/her research. The tutors must support the implementation of the proposed research project and the mobility plan. They also ensure the integration of the postdocs into the research groups and access to the academic infrastructure of the respective institutions.
The Department of Aerospace Engineering has opened a selection process to endorse outstanding candidates for this call.
