We are looking for a person for tasks of Scientific Management and Coordination of the REFMAP – Reducing Environmental Footprint through transformative Multi-scale Aviation Planning project and in the Air Operations group.
The candidate joining the team will have, desirably, proven experience in the management, justification and design of national and international research projects. Profiles with high projection, although without experience in these fields, may also be considered.
Responsibilities of the position include:
- The support and advice to the research staff of the group, and the relationship with the teams and the centres and units of the university, advising on the development of proposals, managing funds for the promotion of research in international projects and networks, and promoting the organisation of meetings, seminars and information and training days. In short, he/she will be the person in charge of managing and coordinating the research work of the group and its relationship with the Research Service of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M).
- In particular, in the European projects coordinated by the group, he/she will lead the preparation of the Grant Agreements with the European Commission, the Consortium Agreements with the consortium partners, develop the deliverables for the management of the European projects, prepare and participate in the meetings with the European Commission and in the internal coordination meetings with the consortium partners, as well as prepare the management and financial reports and serve as liaison between UC3M and the European Commission through the different platforms enabled for this purpose.
- Administrative tasks related to the acquisition of equipment, consumables, travel arrangements and other matters related to the group’s national and international projects, including their justification. The person joining the team must have proven management experience and a good command of spoken and written English is essential. Experience in the management of international research projects (in particular coordinated projects) is desirable. Candidates without experience in these fields may also be considered.
